The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness.  Common types of arthritis and causes of joint pain are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Osteoarthritis causes cartilage to break down leaving the bones at the joint to rub against each other.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease in which the immune system attacks the joints.

There are many prescriptions out there with the goal to reduce symptoms and improve the quality of life but there is no cure for arthritis, yet. Those prescriptions come with a huge list of side effects.  Most of the side effects are worse than the arthritis itself.

Lemongrass– Lemongrass is used for joint, tendon, ligament pain, and connective tissue injury.  Lemongrass demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties and helps to ease pain.

Wintergreen– Wintergreen is used to help reduce pain and swelling of the joint area.

Apply to affected area to soothe discomfort.
