About our Lemon Lime Hydrosol:

Hydrosols are collected through steam distillation or hydro-distillation. Although hydrosols are part of the essential oil distillation process, many small distillation companies are now distilling for either essential oil or hydrosol, depending on what they want from their end product.

Non-aromatic plants, as well as aromatic plants, can be distilled for a hydrosol. Examples of plants used to distill a hydrosol from include fruiting plants such as watermelon, lemon, lime, witch hazel, and lavender, to name a few.

The aroma of a hydrosol may vary from that of the essential oil.  The aroma from a hydrosol won’t be as strong and will have some earthy tones.

Lemon Lime Hydrosol is a great alternative to essential oils for aromatherapists to suggest use with vulnerable groups such as moms-to-be, babies, children, and the elderly, due to their water-based therapeutic properties.
